Senior year is your moment — the final, fabulous chapter before your next big adventure. And if you know me, you know I’m all about going big or going home when it comes to capturing this milestone. So when Hannah said she couldn’t decide between Pasadena’s chic city charm and the dreamy golden light of Santa Monica… well, obviously we said, “Why not both?” Hannah’s multi-location session was the perfect mix of style and scenery, giving her a gallery full of Epic Senior Portraits in Santa Monica and Pasadena that feel timeless, vibrant, and completely her own.
Valencia High School Senior Portraits – School Spirit Meets Style
We kicked things off at her school to capture Hannah’s cheerleader side. She brought her purple-and-white letterman jacket, which instantly made the portraits feel so her. Shooting on the field and under the bleachers gave us that mix of sporty and sentimental, plus it’s the perfect nod to all the time, effort, and heart she’s put into cheer over the years.

Parents — including a quick school stop in your senior’s session is such a great way to tie in their extracurriculars, whether it’s sports, dance, theater, or band. It adds another layer of personality and makes the gallery even more meaningful.

A Rare Green Wonderland
On our way toward the coast, we stumbled across something we almost never see in Santa Clarita — a lush, green field. Usually by this time of year, everything here has turned golden brown, but thanks to some recent rain, we got this gorgeous burst of fresh greenery. Obviously, we couldn’t resist. Hannah slipped into her adorable light denim dress, and the combination of her bright smile, soft curls, and vibrant backdrop was straight out of a summer daydream.
Seniors — if you get the chance to shoot somewhere unexpected during your session, say YES! Some of the best photos come from those spontaneous “we have to stop here” moments.

Pasadena Senior Portraits – Classic, Chic, & Timeless
Next we headed to Pasadena, and I swear this city is a senior session dream. Hannah brought all the glam with an elegant lace gown and the cutest pink two-piece set. From sunlit columns to lush garden spots, every corner of Pasadena offered a different look, and Hannah nailed each one like a total pro.
Parents — if you’re wondering why location variety matters, here’s the scoop: it means you’re not just getting a few pretty photos. You’re getting a versatile, story-driven gallery your senior will actually want to share (and you’ll proudly frame).

Santa Monica Senior Portraits – Sun, Surf, & Golden Hour Magic
Finally, we landed in Santa Monica just in time for golden hour — that delicious, glowing light that makes skin tones perfect and hair look like spun gold. Hannah’s blue maxi dress and effortless beachy waves were pure California perfection. We chased the light, laughed our way through the waves, and even caught some stunning shots under the Santa Monica Pier.

Why a Multi-Location Senior Session is Worth It
Mixing all of these amazing locations (especially Pasadena’s architectural elegance with Santa Monica’s laid-back beach energy) gave Hannah the best of both worlds. Variety in backdrops and outfits means her final gallery feels like her — multifaceted, fun, and one-of-a-kind.
