Sometimes, you just need to shoot for you.
This wasn’t a client session. It wasn’t for a brand, or a campaign, or even for social media (though hey, it made its way here anyway). It was simply a chance to create—to get inspired, try new things, play with light, and push myself creatively.
This kind of shoot had been on my list for years. But if I’m being honest, I let all the usual excuses creep in—too busy, too much editing, scheduling headaches—you name it. Last week, I finally put all that aside and just made it happen.

I collaborated with a few of my favorite fellow photographers (the amazing Mari from Sincerely Mari Photography and Shawna Tomren Photography) and together we captured something that lit my creative fire all over again. And a huge shoutout to our incredible model, Miss Brooklyn, who made the drive all the way from San Diego to be part of it. She brought the energy, the vibe, and the vision to life like a total pro.
This shoot reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. No rules. No pressure. Just me, my camera, and a group of creatives making art for the joy of it.
