Carmen : Valencia High School Senior Pictures : Los Angeles Photographer

Carmen is absolutely gorgeous and I love the way her senior pictures turned out that we shot around downtown L.A. but, I still wanted to do more so we could take advantage of using more natural light so we did another session a few days later out in Santa Clarita. I’ve been playing the using strobes (large flash units) out on location and I definitely want to play around with it more. I am such a natural light girl that I’m a little out of my comfort zone when using the strobes. I’m great with them in studio, just on location I find that I’m having a tough time shooting slow enough for the lights to recycle. Either that or I’m just way to much of a fast shooter. Maybe both:)Anyway, here are some of my favorites images from those two sessions!! Enjoy!

Brittany : TR Senior Model : Santa Clarita Senior Pictures

I absolutely love the way Brittany’s senior pictures turned out. She is one of our TR Senior Models for the Class of 2012 from Valencia High School here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Talk about a beautiful girl! Wow!! She is also in a girl singing group called Legasi Live! and was on the Homecoming Court last fall! We photographed her senior model session all around the Santa Clarita area and I think my favorite pics are the crazy silly string ones!! When she busted out that bright green tutu I knew we’d have to do something fun and quirky with it!

Anybody who knows me or follows my blog, knows that I am huge overly obsessed fan of  MAC and so Brittany went there to have her makeup done before her session. Aren’t those lashes so cool? I think that should be a rule- Awesome lashes for every single photo shoot no matter what! haha! Here are a few of my favorites from our day together doing Brittany’s awesome photo shoot! Enjoy!!

Senior Graduation Announcements : 25% off!!

I am loving this new set of senior graduation announcements that I just got in. They are obviously inspired by the fabulous Betsey Johnson and I thought Jordan’s pictures would be the perfect ones to use for my sample set since she is wearing a Betsey dress in her senior pictures. The cards come in sets of 25 and the envelopes are also included. More paper finishes are also now available too!! Choose from pearl (metallic sparkly finish), watercolor, linen, recycled and semi-matte. We will be posting more and more new options for our graduation announcements in the next few weeks. Operation Smile Charity Event : Los Angeles Professional Photographer

DON’T MISS OUR SPECIAL “CELEBRATION OF SMILES DAY” PROMOTION for the charity Operation Smile!

On April 21 out studio will participate with an elite group of photographers around the country in a very special portrait promotion. On that day we will be providing a wonderful opportunity for you to update portraits of yourself and any family members you wish. In doing so, you will help to support Operation Smile, which provides free surgeries for children around the world who suffer from cleft lips, cleft palates, and other facial deformities.

Along with member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we are offering the gift of an individual portrait session and a desk-size portrait in exchange for a $24 donation to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as it’s charitable partner. For every 10 individuals we photograph, another child will receive the gift of surgery! It costs as little as $240 for Operation Smile’s medical volunteers to provide a life-changing surgery that can take as little as 45 minutes. 100% of each donation will go to Operation Smile.

We also believe that our Celebration of Smiles Day is a wonderful way to teach the value of reaching out to others. Even small children can understand the importance of Operations Smile’s work, and they are eager to help these needy children. We hope you will join us in helping to make this vital work possible, and we promise to create a portrait that you will love!! The sessions are open to anyone!! Adults in need of a new business headshot, seniors wanting a rocking pic for Facebook, kids, pets, you name it!!

We are doing the individual portrait sessions at a super cool spot right here in the Santa Clarita Valley, called Heritage Junction. It’s to the left of William S. Hart Park (where the large black train is). We love doing portrait sessions there and you can view a few pics of a family portrait session we did there recently.

Katie : West Ranch High School Senior Pictures : Santa Clarita

I had a great time doing Katie’s senior pictures near Santa Clarita. I definitely have some favorite local spots that have more of a rustic outdoorsy feel to them. Katie had her makeup done at MAC in the Patios at the Valencia mall and then my favorite intern / assistant / senior model /client, Liz, helped Katie do here hair. The light that day was absolutely gorgeous and Katie was super easy to photograph!! We kept the sessions really clean and simple with just one outfit and Katie wanted a country style look to her pictures. I think they turned out awesome! Enjoy!!
