Paige | Hart High School Senior Pictures in Los Angeles California

Please meet the adorable Paige from Hart High School! Paige is a cheerleader and I loved photographing her high school senior pictures in Los Angeles. We wanted a location that had lots of variety. She knew she wanted portraits in her varsity letterman jacket and an Indian headdress (Hart’s school mascot is an Indian). As an added bonus, we needed a location that was easy to get to for her grandfathers vintage car, Paige’s Jeep, and also close to the beach. The day of Paige’s session, it was super crazy hot but Paige managed to still look flawless throughout her entire session. Here is what Paige had to say about her senior pictures in Los Angeles and helpful tips for those planning their own portrait sessions. Enjoy…

    A. I was just trying to express who I am through my pictures. I didn’t want to wear something or put on makeup that didn’t make me look like someone else.
  • Q. How was your experience during your senior shoot?
    A. The photo shoot was an absolute blast! I was super nervous at first, but Tara makes you feel so comfortable and makes you laugh so much!
  • Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
    A. Be yourself and don’t be nervous. Bring lots of outfit choices because Tara knows where which outfits would look the best, so it’s always good to have plenty of options.
  • Q. How many outfits did you take?
    A. I brought around 20 outfits and we ended up shooting in nine of them.
  • Q. Would you have taken more or less, reasons why?
    A. I brought more than enough outfits to give both Tara and myself a variety to choose from.
  • Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit?
    A. Bring lots of jewelry. Bring big obnoxious necklaces because they photograph amazingly. I brought way too much jewelry but, I was able to have a different set of accessories for each outfit. Indian head dresses also look super cute and photograph really well!

    A. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair and makeup, so I told her to do what would look good, and it looked amazing!
  • Q. Did you find a store that had everything you were looking for? Use this space to talk about favorite shops. If we shot 3 different looks, try to mention where you got your clothes, shoes, headbands, accessories for those looks.
    A. All of my outfits are from Free People. All of the Free People outfits shoot amazingly and look so great. I got all of my jewelry from Charming Charlie’s and my head dress online. One of my favorite outfits was the yellow mustard dress from Free People. It was such a different color and looked amazeballs in the pussywillows.
  • Q. What ended up being your favorite outfit and why?
    A. It’s hard to choose which outfit was my favorite, but my top two would have to be the pink Free People dress that I wore on the beach because there was so much wind and it flowed around so beautifully. Another one of my favorites was the outfit that I wore my letterman and head dress with. I had so much fun doing that because I will forever have pictures that will represent myself and my school.
  • Q. Let’s talk about locations. What location(s) did you choose for your session? Why did you choose that location? Do you wish you would have gone some place different or would you suggest where you went?
