Lexy : Senior Portraits in Santa Barbara California

Senior Portraits in Santa Barbara California
Are you ready to see Lexy’s Senior Portraits in Santa Barbara California? Lexy just graduated from Hart High School in the Santa Clarita Valley! She also was a part of my 2018 senior model team. What’s a model team you might ask? Well, every year I ask my current clients and model team to nominate girls that they think would be a great fit for my studio. Model team girls get spoiled with fun stuff like free shoots throughout the year where they get to come and model and have fun with other teen girls in the area. They also may be asked to model fashion trends for the local Inside SCV magazine that I regularly shoot editorials for. And they also get a nice little discount perk for their own senior session. Back to Lexy! Here’s what she had to say about her Senior Portraits in Santa Barbara California!santa barbara senior picturesnatural light senior portraits in Santa Barbara beautiful senior pictures in Southern Califonria Santa Barbara senior portrait photographers location ideas for senior portraits senior portrait picture ideas styling ideas for senior pictures posing ideas for senior pictures makeup ideas for senior pictures hairstyling ideas for senior pictures natural light senior portraits in California natural light senior portraits in Santa Barbara natural light senior portraits in Southern California natural light senior portraits in Santa Barbara Mission clothing ideas for senior pictures clothing ideas for senior portraits clothing ideas for senior pictures
Q. What kind of look were you going for in your senior photos?
A. Just something fun to represent my personality through pictures and also to wear my style of cute and fun clothing
Q. How was your experience during your senior shoot?
A. It was a great experience. My mom and I had so much fun with Wendy and Tara and going to Santa Barbara was a beautiful area with a lot of hidden gem places. The shoot was enjoyable enough so i could be myself and comfortable in pictures
Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
A. To take in and enjoy every second of it because I always think years from now that I’ll have the privilege to be able to look back on these pictures reflecting my senior year. (also when taking pictures, the poses that feel most awkward come out the best! 😉
Q. How many outfits did you take?
A. practically half my closet hahaha kidding but i brought at least 11 outfits and we used 6
Q. Would you have taken more or less, reasons why?
A. I think the more the better because it gives more options and you rather have a variety to choose from rather than have too little.
Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit? If you have any tips on how many accessories, jewelry, shoes, headbands, etc they should bring, please list those tips here.
A. For every outfit I wore all my Alex and Ani bracelets because i always have them on me and they came out great in pictures and added more to the photos! I also used necklaces so bring as many necklaces as you want to choose from. I even brought my cowboy boots and cowboy hat for a fun theme for my pictures andI also brought a rose to put in my hair mainly because I LOVE country and my middle name is Rose so what better way to describe myself in a picture. Shoes i planned with my outfits at home, depends on your outfits but i brought my sandals, boots and converse.
Q. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re in?
A. No I didn’t but i did use the indian headdress which was amazing because Hart’s mascot is an indian and i’m also native american so it worked perfectly.
Q. Any tips on how to prepare for the session or must have things to bring?
A. If you are getting hair and makeup on always come natural. If done by yourself always bring makeup with you to touch up! and look like yourself, don’t try to be someone you’re not!
Q. Any tips on hair/makeup? Where did you get your inspiration for this? Did you bring in pictures or have a plan prior to your styling?
A. I just had Wendy do whatever she wanted because she’s great 🙂
Q. Did you find a store that had everything you were looking for? Use this space to talk about favorite shops. If we shot 3 different looks, try to mention where you got your clothes, shoes, headbands, accessories for those looks.
A. Taylor Lynn Boutique has it all!!!
Q. What ended up being your favorite outfit and why?
A. I loved my first outfit with the green top and printed pants and i also loved my outfit with my cowboy boots
Q. Let’s talk about locations. What location did you choose for your session? Why did you choose that location? Do you wish you would have gone some place different or would you suggest where you went?
