So I’ve been getting a little bit sidetracked from my daily blogging lately, but I am determined to get back into the groove and what a better way than to show a few pictures of the gorgeous Hanah from Chaminade College Prep High School in West Hills? Hanah is absolutely beautiful and her mom came along with her to the senior session that we ended up shooting in Simi Valley where she had her makeup done. By the way- if you’re debating on whether or not to get your makeup done professionally for a photo shoot- I highly, highly suggest it!! A great professional makeup artists knows just the amount of product to use for the way you’re being photographed and usually will ask what kind of shoot your doing. For instance- if you’re shooting with all natural light they would do your makeup a little different ( or a lot different) than if you were doing a photo session with bright studio stobes. Totally worth it to go to someone who knows what they’re doing!!

Hanah brought along an awesome mix of all sorts of clothing which is another thing I absolutely recommend (especially for senior portrait sessions). I often find that the students tend to want one thing and the parents want something different (usually more classic and smiling) so I firmly believe you should do both. That way everyone is happy 🙂 I love that she had an option that was more dressy (and HELLO! How cool is that dress?), a more laid back casual outfit with jeans and some hi-tops, and her edgy rockerish look towards the end with the braids and leather jacket. Super fun! here are a few of my favorite pictures from that morning!!
