Carrie & Seth’s big day : Malibu Wedding

If you’re a frequent blog reader, than you may remember the engagement session I did of this couple several months back. We had a great time shooting all around L.A. and needless to say, their wedding was a blast too! The weather was gorgeous (but maybe a bit too warm for my fair Washington skin) and despite the heat, it was wonderful outdoor wedding. They busted out the most hysterical first dance that I think I have ever seen that was beyond brilliant. Thanks C & S for another awesome shoot!!

Adams Family : Agoura Family Portraits

This is my 4th time photographing this great family. They have two beautiful little boys that are so cute but so don’t love my camera!! It’s find it’s pretty rare when young ones aren’t curious about me and my gear in front of them but more often than not I find it with boys. I don’t know what it is about the whole picture taking process but girls tend to like it a lot more than little boys (with the exception of my girls, of course, who could care less)!!

Kim P.

I hate to say it but I may have discovered a new favorite age group to photograph. High School Seniors!! I don’t know if it’s all of the reality shows or the huge following of Gossip Girl, but todays students dress amazing!! Way back in my day it was all about sweats, flannels, torn jeans, Doc Martens, and birkenstocks (but then again that was in Seattle at the height of “grunge” and Nirvana). Anyhow, I am loving their style and love the fact that I don’t have to chase after them, they don’t usually cry at the session and for the most part, they do what they’re told! I for one am planning on changing the market out here in So Cal. All over the country, senior portraits are a huge deal.  A major turning point in their life and something to be celebrated and cheered about!! Most kids can’t wait to be seniors just to do their senior portraits (oh yeah, and no more high school). When I say that I want to do senior portraits here in Cali, people look at me like I’m crazy for wanting to photograph the “elderly”. No, I am not looking for clients that should be in the movie Cocoon (although that’s not a bad idea either)!! I’m talking about the young, cool, hip, HIGH SCHOOL kids of today that are rockin’ todays top fashions, ready to show a little attitude and want to work it like Miss Tyra herself!! There you have it. If you’re a senior, have a senior, know a senior, or think you may have spotted a senior who might be in need of a session, PLEASE send them my way!!

This is a session done for Kim who graduated last summer. Not only was she Miss Saugus, she dances, goes to college, is beautiful, and….she happens to be my assistant and is amazing!! If you call or e-mail don’t be surprised if Miss Kim ends up helping you out from time to time. She’s the best!!

Alderman Family : Valencia Family Portraits

A big thank you to Maryanne and the family for coming out and braving the elements!! Not only was it cold (at least for So Cal) but the wind was CRAZY!! The boys were troopers but it was tough to smile and be silly when you’re freezing your buns off!!

A few more card styles for the Holidays!!

Here is the last of the card templates that are perfect for the upcoming holidays. They aren’t super Christmas specific which is nice if you or your family don’t celebrate Christmas. You can do a simple postcard style, folded, or even a trifold. I’m digging the trifolds! They are so cute!!

All cards come in sets of 25 along with envelopes. They are available in a variety of finishes including: glossy, standard semi matte, watercolor (beautiful), pearl (love it), and linen. If you like a design shown, some of the elements can be changed like colors, text words, and other design features. Some of the cards are very specific and I can’t change much at all.

View even more card samples here. And some of the styles from last year are available here too.

On a separate side note- I am super excited that my lab asked me if it would be okay to feature my personal holiday card at their booth at a local photography convention!! Ummm… Let me think. Heck yes!! How cool is that? Feels pretty awesome that mine stood out and they want to show it to others. It is pretty cute if I do say so myself!! haha!!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!
