Sweet 16

January 15, 2009

This is the amazingly gorgeous girl I photographed several months ago. It was finally time for her big birthday celebration and it was spectacular. There was lots of speeches, singing, dancing, and loads of fun. The entire party was themed after Pirates of the Caribbean and even included a choreographed dance with Miss Francis as the damsel in distress! Very cool! I wish I could go back and have a rockin’ party like that!! Maybe a Sweet 36 in a few years? That would pretty much be the same, right?

Shilling Clan

This may have been one of my favorite shoots to date and no, I don’t say that to everyone. Sorry! The way everyone interacted with each other, I could have just sat back and shot without saying a word. They all look great together but no one really “matched”. I get clothing questions constantly from people and I would say that this is the perfect example of what to do. All of the clothes look good as a group but everyone still kept their own individual style. I am just in love of the little miss too. Can you believe all those amazing curls!! I love them!!

Valeda & Geoff

January 13, 2009

Never, ever, ever do I get the chance to shoot close by home. This was the one of 3 times in over 10 years that I’ve shot a wedding in the Valencia area. It was so nice to not have to plan on leaving the house hours early to make sure I wouldn’t get stuck in horrible L.A. traffic. What a nice change for once. This awesome couple hired me over the phone thanks to the referral by their incredible coordinator, Kelly of Kelly Michelle Weddings. I knew her personally but had not yet had the chance to do a wedding together yet. If you’re thinking you may need a coordinator- CALL Her!! She is the nicest woman and I don’t know how she does it, but nothing seems to stress her out (and if it does, she does a great game face because I’d never know). The couple had a beautiful little ceremony in the backyard of the bride’s sisters home. They sang, they had friends sing, and a really cute little slideshow during the reception that the groom put together. The cake was unbelievable (although the bride’s face slid off due to the heat!). Thanks for such a fun (and close to home) day!!

Ruby

Meet one of my three new reps for Canyon High School. This is Ruby and she is in the 2010 class. She was one of my awesome “models” from the volleyball shoot that ended up signing on to help promote the studio. Isn’t she a beauty? I could have photographed her all day!!

Canyon Volleyball

January 9, 2009

These lovely ladies are all from the Canyon H.S. volleyball team. I am doing an ad for their booster program and was asked if I would be interested in shooting them. I thought it was a great idea and we sure had a blast. Some of the girls have signed on with me to be my senior reps/ models for their school which I am very excited about!! We were in a little bit of a rush to make sure I could get everyone done before the daylight was all gone but I think we got some great images!! I’m am loving these senior shoots!!
