Say hello to the adorable Billie and her amazing Venice California Senior Pictures!! Billie is a class of 2017 senior over at West Ranch high school in Santa Clarita. Isn’t she the cutest thing ever? And the great thing is, she’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! I had such a fun day shooting all over Venice with her and her mom!
To make things a little different today, I decided to ask Billie some questions about her shoot. I always get asked questions from clients inquiring about a senior shoot so instead of me answering, I thought it would be best to hear it straight from a senior!
Q. Do you have any College Plans? If so, where?
A. A four-year university
Q. College Major?
A. Biology/Pre-Med
Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
A. DANCE
Q. What kind of look were you going for in your senior photos?
A. Bright, fun, and colorful
Q. How was your experience during your senior shoot?
A. I had such a fun time! I loved everything we saw, and it was an overall painless day.
Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
A. Know what you want! If you already know what hair, make up, and location you want, then it makes the photographers job easier. Also, you will love your pictures even more.
Q. How many outfits did you take?
A. 6
Q. Would you have taken more or less, reasons why?
A. We were able to fit all the outfits we wanted in, and it worked out perfectly.
Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit?
A. I do not own many accessories, but Tara was able to match my outfits with her own jewelry. I would suggest anything you feel beautiful in.
Q. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re in?
A. No 🙂
Q. Any tips on how to prepare for the session or must have things to bring?
A. Plan what you want for hair and makeup because if you know what you want you will feel more confident. Bring water too! Modeling is hard work!
Q. Any tips on hair/makeup? Where did you get your inspiration for this?
A. Pick what you want, but also what will look best. You can change your hair, but it should match the locations and the style. When I was looking for styles, Pinterest was my best friend.
Q. Did you find a store that had everything you were looking for?
A. When I went shopping, I looked for anything that screamed my name. I wanted my clothes to bring out who I am as a person. If I didn’t HAVE to have it, I didn’t buy it.
Q. What ended up being your favorite outfit and why?
A. My favorite outfit was my blue romper. I loved it because by the end my curls were looser, my make up was a bit different, and I had already been having a great day. I think it showed in the pictures.
Q. Let’s talk about locations. What location(s) did you choose for your session?
A. We chose to go down in Venice. I loved it because there were so many fun and crazy backgrounds. I love color so much, and the location had so much of it.

A. Nope!
Q. What was your favorite thing about your session or the overall experience?
A. I loved how easy it was to model. I never felt awkward or nervous. I just had fun.
Q. Why do you think senior portraits are important?
A. It is fun to showcase the beauty the the teen has as they get ready to branch off. It seems as if the senior pictures show freedom.
Q. Why did you choose Tara Rochelle to take your senior pictures?
A. I had seen her pictures from a few friends, and I loved how happy they seemed.
