I’m still in beautiful Palm Springs for the SPA event (Senior Portrait Artists). I have learned so much and it’s been amazing to learn from these incredible photographers. Tonight I won some super groovy new background from the uber talented Scott Crosby!! Yahoo!! Can’t wait to get back home to Valencia (okay that’s not entirely true) and try out some of the great ideas and tips I’ve learned about photography and how to grow as an artist!

It’s amazing to watch some of these photographers work and see how they do what they do. Some are very technically oriented and others are much more carefree and focus more on their connection with the subject rather than having the perfect lighting setup. Very cool stuff. I want to be at SPA year round now!! haha!!

I’m still not quite sure why the Senior Picture craze is not all over the Los Angeles area like it is in so many other parts of the country. At this amazing turning point in a teens life, why wouldn’t they want to mark this milestone with cool photos? I sure did! I remember that I couldn’t wait to have my senior pictures taken!! Seriously!! Anyway, I am super stoked to get home a shoot a ton of senior pictures with all of these great new ideas!!
