Ashley | Santa Clarita Senior Pictures

I’m so excited to share with you Ashley’s Santa Clarita Senior Pictures!! Ashley is a Class of 2017 senior at Saugus High School in SCV. After talking with Ashley about what she was looking for in her senior pictures, we decided to do her senior pictures in Santa Clarita. She wanted  a blend of some urban areas with more nature and organic areas. A few of my favorite nature areas are right here in Santa Clarita! It worked out perfectly! Her dad and brother joined in at the end so we could capture some family portraits as well. Check out what Ashley had to say about her Santa Clarita senior pictures!

  • Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
    A. After school I enjoy to go to the gym, hangout with my friends, and try to advance my knowledge in the career field I am expecting to go into. I am going to be volunteering at the hospital, so that I can begin work in the field of work I would like to pursue in my future.
  • Q. What kind of look were you going for in your senior photos?
    A. In my senior photos, I was looking to express my style. I chose looks that I feel comfortable in, and some that are a little outside of my comfort zone. In the end, I am very happy with the outfits I had picked out and how they turned out in my pictures.

  • Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone getting their senior photos taken?
    A. I would tell them to be confident and have fun. Tara is so talented and will help you out with poses, so don’t worry about that, but be sure to express yourself and what you love during your shoot! These are pictures you will keep and cherish forever.
  • Q. How many outfits did you take?
    A. I brought five outfits with me along with jewelry, shoes, and accessories.

  • Q. Did you accessorize differently with each outfit?
    A. I did not bring as many accessories as I should have so I would tell them to bring more accessories than they might think they will need. Tara was very helpful in putting accessories I had brought, or that she already had with each of the outfits I brought.
  • Q. Did you take any props or try to incorporate any activities that you’re in?
    A. I did not bring any props with me, but I have seen many senior pictures in which people bring things that mean a lot to them to take pictures with.
  • Q. Any tips on how to prepare for the session or must have things to bring?
    A. Be sure to prepare in taking your time to choose the outfits and accessories you want because those are the things that really make the pictures you. They express who you are in the picture, so be sure to think about them!
  • Q. Any tips on hair/makeup? Where did you get your inspiration for this? Did you bring in pictures or have a plan prior to your styling?
    A. Look online for inspiration! Pinterest is a great way to find some, I found my ideas there. Bring the pictures in with you so you can show your stylist and they can do their best to recreate it!

    A. I found certain pieces of my wardrobe at Brandy Melville, Forever 21, Express and mostly American Eagle.

    A. My location is in the Santa Clarita Valley. We took pictures in the streets and against walls. We also went into a wash and it almost looked as if we were on a beach. I am happy with where I chose my locations at, and they turned out very good in the pictures.
